How to get there - For those with SatNav the postcode is SN12 6LP.
From the A350 Western Way turn east on the A3102. Follow the road round to the right at the Unicorn and cross the river followed by a mini roundabout. At the next roundabout take the first exit (to Calne). At the next roundabout take the first exit into King George V Park.
Get a map with driving directions to start (enter the postcode of your starting point at A)
Suggested Launch Site - The slipway is straight ahead. You can unload here before returning your car to the main car park.
Description - If on launching you go to the right you can paddle for 5 miles until the next weir to give a 10 mile portage free trip. If you want to detour into Lacock Village (National Trust) get out at the road bridge (3.5 miles) and walk west. If you stay on the river you'll paddle right past the Abbey. Turn round whenever you want and return to the start

Beautiful part of the river.Did not get as Far as Lacock due to a fallen tree right across the river. It's a shame these blockages are not cleared.
