How to get there - From Junction 14 on the M5 head northwest on B4509 for 0.3 miles. Turn right at A38 for half a mile. Turn left and and after half a mile turn left at Twyditch Lane. Continue for one mile then turn right at Halmore Lane. Continue straight onto Riddle Street. At Purton park in the carpark on the right next to the bridge.

Get a map with driving directions to start (enter the postcode of your starting point at A)

Suggested Launch Site - There is a low platform next to the carpark. Turn left under the two briges (operated by a bridgekeeper) for Sharpness.

General Description - This is a short (4 mile) trip to Sharpness Docks and back with no locks or portages. The Gloucester & Sharpness canal is a wide, deep commercial waterway with it's own distinctive architecture.
