We really enjoyed this trip. The Windmill Pub is just across the canal from the launch site http//www.thewindmillatparbold.co.uk/The description says that it is portage free. We encountered 2 swing bridges that we couldn't paddle under and didn't have the key to open them. We had to do a quick portage, but it was easy to climb onto the bank and launch on the other side. However, this just added to the fun of the trip!
