Suggested Launch Site - Hire from 'Outdoor Freizeit', 12.5 euros per person for 12 km (16km available in high season, starting higher up at Wallendorf). Trip ends at steps - an awkward pull up - next to bus station in Echternach, catch hourly bus back.
Description - Lots of wooded hills. After an overnight thunderstorm, the Sure had risen quickly, and the rapids downstream for half the distance from Dillingen were lively, with lots of little stoppers at the bottom of each rapid. After that it became quieter. I noticed one weir on the Wallendorf section from the bus window. 1.5 hours including lunch for 12km, but normally takes 2.5 hr! Opportunities for photography were limited. Left bank going downstream is Germany, right bank is Luxembourg.
