How to get there - Crookham Wharf is half a mile south of Crookham Village (to the south-west of Fleet)
Suggested Launch Site - Crookham Wharf is a small public carpark with picnic area adjacent to the Basingstoke Canal. Canoes can be launched from the bank.
General
Description - This is a short trip of 4 miles with no locks or portages. The first (and last) mile is totally rural and the stretch through the outskirts of Fleet is still very pleasant, there being just enough traffic noise to remind you why you wanted a trip in the canoe. The Fox and Hounds is a convenient canalside pub for refreshments and the Wharf at Fleet is a suitable place for a picnic if you need one.
There is one low swing bridge at Zebon Copse but you can pass under with care.
