From the A40 / Heads of the Valleys road A465 at the complex roundabout near Abergavenny, take the A4042 South to Llanover. Pass through the village and then turn right at a minor road crossroads. This road passes over the canal. There is a small car park on the right just before the canal bridge.

Suggested Launch Site -
Bank beside the car park, or under the bridge if there is no canal traffic.
8.5 miles of delightful scenery high up on the edge of the Usk valley. No locks. Good pub & food beside the canal at Gilwern about 1/2 mile short of the finish point.
