General Description - This trip on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is lock and portage free. I suggest you turn round at the Saracens Head, Halsall, which is four and a half miles from the start but if you want a shorter trip and can arrange a car shuttle you can also end the trip here.

This part of the canal has excellent access - practically every road crossing has a car park canalside so it's very easy to shorten or extend the trip to suit your needs.
