Lancashire - Bridgewater Canal - Warrington to Agden Wharf, Lymm

This page was submitted by Keith Day (E-mail this submitter)
How to get there - From Junction 20 on the M6 head north-west on the A50. After 2 miles, at the Springbrook pub on the right, turn left onto the A56 (Chester Road). In half a mile, take the third road on the left into Church Lane and after crossing the canal turn right into Stockton Lane. In quarter of a mile, as the canal bears north away from the road, there is limited parking space.

Suggested Launch Site - Launch over the bank.

General Description - This paddle takes you under the M6, through Lymm, to the Barn Owl Inn at Agden Wharf (5 miles). There are no locks or portages.

Depending on your preference you can stop here if you have shuttled a second car, return to the start for a ten mile trip or continue to Little Bollington.
